Quadring Parish Council minutes

A Meeting of the above Parish Council was held on Monday the  9th April 2018 under the Chairmanship of Coun M Clifft.

PCSO Colin Abbotts had reported one incident in the last few weeks, it concerned a burglary in Boyfields. The Parish Council were still not getting any feedback on prosecutions etc.

Plans from Mr Burdall and Mr Moore met with the approval of the Council.

Mrs Janet Young was co-opted onto the Council after a proposal by Coun Bingham was carried unanimously.

The Clerk was to write to the SHDC asking for a VIP award to be made to Andrew Jackson for his sterling work in keeping the footpaths and roads clear in the past few years. He also stored the salt/grit for this purpose free of charge. It was decided to supply Mr Jackson with a new spreader, and to get some more salt for the next winter.

The grass cutting contract was awarded to Dawsons.

A cheque £336.80 for work done on the playing field by David Baxter was signed, as was one for the Clerk's half-year salary and expenses totalling £786.

The Clerk was to report a problem with revving motor bikes in the village. This was also causing problems with designated car parking for residents.

There was a tree on the footpath behind Boyfields. Coun Casswell was to investigate.

Fly-tipping in Middle Drove was to be reported. A letter was to be sent to Bratleys in the Eaudyke, thanking them for their help in clearing the roads during the recent snowy weather.

The footpath towards the school was breaking up and their was a problem also with a fence on this path.

There had been an instance of a dog escaping from the Main Road kennels. Coun Grocock told the members that if no complaint was made to the SHDC nothing could be done about this.
