Quadring Parish Council minutes

A Meeting of the above Parish Council was held on Monday 27th November 2017 under the Chairmanship of Coun. A Marshall.

Prior to the Meeting proper, the Council met with PCSO Colin Abbotts, who told the Council that zero reportable incidents had taken place since the last Meeting, the same as last year. There had been two cases of hare-coursing, 1 in Wood Lane and the other in Sarahgate. All Vicars in the area had been informed that lead thieves were about. PCSO was told that some criminal damage had been reported 4 weeks ago and the person who reported it was told to put up CCTV which was impossible. An incident number had been obtained and PCSO Abbotts was to look into this.

Henry Bingham was co-opted onto the Council, to replace Coun Pavely.

The Clerk was to write to two people in St Margarets, who were supposedly letting their dogs run loose on the Playing Field. The Clerk had received a letter from the LCC stating that to cut various areas of grass in the village 10 times a  year extra to the promised two cuts. Would cost over £900. The Clerk was to enquire of Dawson's Contractors to see if they would be willing to undertake the extra work, although not 10 times a year

A plan from Messrs Spridgen met with dissapproval as the entrance was onto the Playing Field area, which is not fenced off, and another entrance would be better. Mr Andrews plan was also declined as it is on a bad bend and also on a flood plain. A plan for some storage units on Grantham's old site met with approval.

A cheque, made out to Dawson's for grass cutting, amounting to £58.20 was signed. There was a difference of about a foot between the side of Sarahgate Lane and the centre. It was also cracking up.
